Concentrated Laundry Liquid: Solving a Shipping Cost Challenge
Meta Description: Concentrated laundry liquid can offer a more efficient alternative when shipping volume becomes a major cost. See how Youming matched an existing concentrated formula with a buyer's transportation, dilution and supply requirements.
When Shipping Volume Becomes a Product Concern
The project started with a practical issue: shipping ready-to-use laundry liquid over a long distance meant transporting a large amount of water.
As the buyer reviewed the overall supply cost, transportation became an important part of the product decision. Instead of looking only at freight rates, we considered whether the product itself could be supplied in a more compact format.
Youming already had an existing concentrated laundry liquid product, so this was not a new product development project. We introduced the existing format as an alternative and then checked how well it matched the buyer's requirements.
The main question was whether a concentrated format could reduce shipping volume while still being practical to use after arrival.

Starting With an Existing Product
Our concentrated laundry liquid is supplied without added water before shipment. Water is added before use according to the agreed dilution specification.
This allows the buyer to receive a more concentrated product rather than shipping the full ready-to-use volume from the factory.
We reviewed the existing formula against the project's requirements, including dilution, product performance and the intended supply format. Where the existing specification already met the requirements, there was no need to make unnecessary changes.
This made the process more straightforward: start with a product we already manufacture, then adapt the supply details around the actual project.
Testing the Product After Dilution
The concentrated product needed to work just as expected once prepared for use.
Depending on the agreed specification, the concentrated laundry liquid can be diluted with water up to 2,000 ml before use.
The preparation process is simple:
Add the required amount of water according to the agreed dilution ratio.
Shake for around 30 seconds.
Allow the product to stand for approximately 30–120 seconds before use.
We focused on the diluted product during evaluation, checking whether the final laundry liquid delivered the expected cleaning performance and user experience.
The existing formula combines cleaning performance with low-foam enzyme technology and long-lasting fragrance. Depending on market requirements, specifications such as brightener-free and phosphate-free can also be considered.

Confirming the Supply Format
Once the product direction was confirmed, we looked at how it would move through the customer's supply chain.
The concentrated laundry liquid can be supplied in finished packaging, or provided in bulk for local dilution, filling and repackaging.
The right option depends on the buyer's existing facilities and distribution model. Where local filling is available, bulk concentrated supply can provide another way to manage transportation and packaging closer to the destination market.
This made the project about more than choosing a formula. The product format, dilution process and supply method all needed to work together.
From Product Evaluation to Commercial Supply
After sample evaluation and specification confirmation, the project moved toward commercial supply.
At this point, the buyer had evaluated not only the concentrated product, but also the dilution process and the way it could fit into the planned supply chain.
The final direction gave the customer a more compact way to source laundry liquid without requiring us to develop an entirely new product.
How the Project Moved Forward
1. Identify the shipping concern - We assessed how the volume of ready-to-use laundry liquid was affecting transportation efficiency and overall supply costs.
2. Match an existing product - We introduced our existing concentrated laundry liquid as an alternative to shipping the full diluted volume.
3. Evaluate the diluted product - The sample was tested after dilution to confirm cleaning performance, fragrance and practical use.
4. Confirm the project specification - We reviewed the feedback and finalized the required dilution, packaging and product details.
5. Choose the supply model - We matched the product with the buyer's preferred finished-packaging or bulk supply arrangement.
6. Move into commercial supply - After the product and supply details were confirmed, the concentrated laundry liquid moved forward as the project's supply format.

The Customer's Final Feedback
The customer was satisfied with both the product and the way the project was handled. They appreciated our quick response, practical recommendation and flexibility throughout the sampling and confirmation process.
The concentrated laundry liquid met their expectations for product performance and supply efficiency, while our responsive support gave them confidence to move forward with the project.
Their positive feedback confirmed that the existing product was a good fit for their needs and that the overall cooperation worked as expected.
